There are a number of tips to follow to ensure you achieve the maximum possible sale price for your property.

Presentation is key, you don’t have to spend a great deal of time or money to make sure your home looks its best. A fresh coat of paint, well-tended gardens, minor repairs, professional cleaning and de-cluttering will make a big difference to buyers’ first impressions.

Make yourself a checklist of all the things you need to do well in advance to ensure you’ve covered everything.

INSPECTION TIPS

Be willing for the agent to show at quite short notice; most sellers find that once the home is prepared, it’s easy to keep it that way. Have a last minute plan for a quick get-a-way. On leaving, open curtains and put on heater / air conditioning so as to keep at a comfortable temperature. If cold - and you have one - light the fire for effect, it sets the mood. At the conclusion of the inspection, expect to hear from your agent. The possible buyer's feedback is valuable information so take note.
